ST. GEORGE — On Sunday, February 20, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., the Knox Regional Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an altercation involving an assault and the discharge of a firearm had occurred at a residence off of the River Road in St. George.

According to the Knox County Sherriff’s Office, patrol deputies arrived at the scene and determined that additional units would be needed to safely secure the area and investigate the incident.

Ellery A. Montgomery, 25, of St. George, was charged with Assault, Reckless Conduct w/ Firearm, Terrorizing, Operating Under the Influence, and Failure to Stop for Law Enforcement.
