The main attraction is homemade strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, according to the release. Jams and other strawberry goodies, including ice cream sandwiches, and baked goods will be for sale. Raffle tickets will be sold for seven baskets with the winners drawn at noon.

History buffs will have a chance to have a guided tour of the church which was built as the town meetinghouse in 1821. It has the original boxed pews, upper pulpit, balcony, and flow glass windows.

The Strawberry Festival is sponsored by the United Christian Church (UCC), an open and affirming community church. Proceeds from the festival support the ongoing ministries of the church and the maintenance of the historic Meeting House and the 60 year old Community Building.

“Bring a lawn chair and plan to spend the day visiting with friends and enjoying the good food and entertainment,” said the release.
