Heather Pierson Trio brings jazz to The Waldo, July 28

WALDOBORO — The Waldo brings back the Heather Pierson Trio on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 7 p.m. An annual favorite during the holiday season, this will be Pi’serson first show at The Waldo featuring her original music, as well as well-loved standards and classics.

Heather Pierson is a New Hampshire based singer/songwriter, pianist, song leader, and performer with a passion for cultivating joy, both onstage and off.

“With a toe in each of the realms of New Orleans jazz, blues, and folk, her multi-genre songwriting places her in a category all her own, one honed by decades of diligent practice and curious exploration,” said The Waldo, in a news release. “Her trio features Shawn Nadeau on bass/vocals and Craig Bryan on percussion/vocals, and their live performances of a rich variety of Heather's originals, jazz and blues standards, and unique re-workings of familiar classics are a dynamic expression of their deep friendship.”

Pierson's forthcoming album, Back To The Light is slated for a September 2024 release.

The Trio are also well known for their annual Charlie Brown Christmas tour, wherein they present their interpretations of the work of the late great jazz pianist and composer Vince Guaraldi.

Online tickets are available for $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event, with limited Front Row seats available for $40. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m., and concessions, including beer and wine will be available for purchase.
