Visit Fairy Village at Merryspring, Aug. 9

CAMDEN — A free one-hour visit to Fairy Village is being offered Friday, August 9, at 10 a.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Participants may collect items along the way to help construct and/or adorn tiny homes for forest dwellers in the village. Only materials on the ground may be used, no live plant parts. Merryspring will supply building tips and supplies, you supply the creativity. Participants are welcome to create new fairy houses and forts or fix any existing ones.

This is an outdoor program and guests must wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes for this short hike to Fairy Village. Please meet in the lower parking lot at Merryspring at 9:45 a.m. In case of heavy rain this program will be canceled.

Preregistration is necessary for this event, with limited space available. Guests may sign up by calling 207-236-2239 or by emailing info@merryspring.org.

Admission is free to all. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
