ROCKLAND — This week, Wednesday, July 31 – Sunday, August 4, the Maine Lobster Festival will be in Rockland’s Harbor Park. While most of the activities will occur within the park grounds, two activities in particular will occur on Rockland roads.

On Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. - around noon, “The Big Parade” will be happening on Main Street. The Rockland Police Dept. requests that traffic use Old County Road to bypass the city.

On Sunday, from 8 - 11 a.m., runners in the 5K and 10K Road Races will make their way through town, requiring temporary road closures. RPD requests that vehicle operators drive slowly and watch for runners.
