Playin’ Possum returns to the Quarry Tavern this summer! The band plays folk and rock classics by Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and much more. They will be playing from 5:00 – 8:30 pm on Saturday August 3rd. Reserve your seat online (be sure to select ‘Quarry Tavern’) or call 207-372-6366. If you’re not able to make it this time, they’ll be playing at the Tavern the first Saturday of the month during the 2024 season.

Playin’ Possum musicians have been bringing music to the mid-coast for over a decade. The band has four members: David (vocals, acc guitar), Gaylea (vocals, bass), Peter (vocals, electric guitar) and James (drums). The family grew up and live in Knox county, and are fan favorites at the local hangouts.

The Quarry Tavern, is a cozy bar on the water in Tenants Harbor.  The menu features from-scratch local seafood dishes and house made desserts. The bar has TVs for watching sports, a dart board, large Connect4 and board games. The Tavern is open Tuesday – Saturday, 5 – 9pm (food served 5:00-8:30). Reservations are recommended (especially for music nights); walk-ins are seated based on availability. During live music nights, table times are limited to 100 minutes.
