Steel-Pro has announced its first annual scholarship program awarding two prizes of $1,000 to support Maine students pursuing a career in welding. The scholarship is open to high school seniors or current college students who have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the welding field.

"We believe that investing in trade and technical education is an investment in our future,” said Steel-Pro Inc.’s Steve Ladd, President and CEO, in a news release. “We are proud to support students who are passionate about these fields and are dedicated to pursuing a career in the trades.”

Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit an application explaining their career goals and how a welding technical education will help them achieve their dreams.
