Man arrested after allegedly threatening person with a gun in Unity

    UNITY — A Unity man was arrested Thursday, Aug. 29, after allegedly threatening someone with a gun at Unity Raceway.

    Joshua Littlefield, 30, first came to the attention of Maine State Police at 4:12 p.m., when the victim reported the incident.  The man reportedly named Littlefield, who he said he is familiar with, as the man who had threatened him. The victim was able to provide a description of the Littlefield, as well as a description of the firearm he was carrying.

    Troopers from the Central Field Troop and Troop I responded to Littlefield’s residence, in addition to the Maine State Police Tactical Team and Crisis Negotiation Team. 

    Littlefield was taken into custody and had been charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. 

    Following his arrest, Littlefield was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Upon his release, Littlefield will be transported to Waldo County Jail. 

    The case remains an active investigation. Police are asking anyone that witnessed the encounter at Unity Raceway to call Trooper Jackson, of the MSP Central Field Troop at 207-624-7076.
