Free computer class offered in Belfast: “Cutting the Cord: Getting TV and Phone Services Over the Internet”

BELFAST — The Belfast Free Library and the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) will be presenting a free computer class, “Cutting the Cord: Getting TV & Phone Services Over the Internet,” Thursday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., in the library’s Abbott Room.

“Cutting the Cord” refers to the pattern of canceling cable or satellite services and being able to watch television shows online, as well as options that would allow for getting rid of a landline. This class will not only show attendees the wide variety of options out there, but also teach some tools to decide if cutting the cord is the right option.

These workshops are free to Maine residents, but space is limited and registration is required. To register for this class, please fill out the form on the NDEC website at https://tinyurl.com/58yx6ark.
