Sundog Outdoor Expeditions thanks community for successful polar plunge

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 7:00pm

Sundog Outdoor Expeditions would like to thank all the hearty plungers and the community supporters for a wildly fun polar plunge on Saturday, February 5 as part of Camden’s Winterfest celebration.

We had 45 rugged plungers this year including several teams of plungers, Team Delfina Surprises, Team Birthday Suit and Team Inn-Sanity.

All participants received a mug from Evergreen Energy and a buff from Sundog. There was lots of hot chocolate enjoyed by all.

Prizes were handed out for the biggest fundraisers. Team Delfina Surprises won an experience in one of the escape rooms at TRAPT on Route 1. Team Inn-Sanity (been there, plunged that) received a half day of rock or ice climbing with Equinox Guiding Service.

Bayview Management supplied the propane heaters. And Rankin’s donated wood for the fire. Finally, a shout out to the Camden Fire Department who stood by to ensure scene safety in case a frigid water rescue was necessary.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for this adrenaline-filled event!
