keep your gardens blooming longer

Merryspring talk: Late Summer and Fall Flowering Perennials

CAMDEN — John Fromer will lead an outdoor presentation on Late Summer and Fall Flowering Perennials, Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Many perennials bloom in June and July and fade in August leaving your garden with fewer blooms in the fall. If you would like to extend the bloom season into late summer and fall, which perennials would you choose?  Which perennials bloom from early summer through the fall? How do fall blooming perennials work into your overall design? This talk will cover various perennials you can grow to keep your gardens blooming longer.

This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.

Attendance is free for members; $5 for non-members.
