ROCKLAND — Oceanside Little League has announced has come to the “difficult decision” to cancel the 2020 season amid the pandemic. 

“This was not an easy choice and did not come without a lot of thoughtful discussion about how this would impact our league this season, and for seasons to come,” the league’s board said. “In the end the potential lack of participants and volunteers, the feasibility of the protective measures needed, and most importantly the health and safety of our Oceanside Little League community outweighed our desire to continue with the 2020 season.” 

The board noted registration fees will be refunded beginning next week. 

“We are disappointed in how this has turned out and are sure that many of you are disappointed as well,” the board said. “We are confident we will get through this and we will be back for the 2021 season!”
