There is entertainment with interactive displays, exhibits, free vintage car rides, ground vehicle and aircraft demonstrations, plus an exhibitor car show. Scenic biplane rides are available, and guests may purchase a ride in the open-air cockpit of one of our historic biplanes.

“With two Family STEM Centers, 2 touch-a-trucks and kid’s activities — this event is fun for the whole family,” said OHTM.

Experience the rich narratives of history come alive through demonstrations from the museum’s own historic aircraft collection, witness our homage of the Red Baron’s pursuit pulled right from the pages of history with the 1917 Fokker DR.1, a reproduction; then spectate 3 hundred-year-old airplanes take to the skies together in a Flight of the Centenarians: the 1917 Curtiss JN-4, the 1918 Standard J-1 and the 1923 Fokker C.IVa.

Other static displays will include the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen, the 1898 Léon Bollée Tricar, the 1909 De Dion Bouton and the 1935 Ford Model 48 Phaeton, which recently competed in the 2024 Great Race, driven by the Museum’s own team with Ron Quebec as driver and James Kalian as navigator in a renowned 9 day timed-precision race from Kentucky to Maine.

The museum’s Engine room will have 3 crowd-pleasing machinery demonstrations, the 1895 Harris-Corliss Tandem Compound Steam Engine, the 1895 Otto Columbian four-stroke cycle internal combustion engine, and the 1980 General Electric CF-6 Turbofan aircraft engine.
