Wednesday Waldo Walk at Marsh Meadow Preserve in Knox, July 10

KNOX — Coastal Mountains Land Trust presents: Wednesday Waldo Walks. On the second Wednesday of each month, Waldo County Conservation Initiative committee member Bindy Pendleton will lead a hike through a different Waldo County Preserve. 

July’s hike will take place at the newest Coastal Mountains Land Trust preserve and trail, Marsh Meadow Preserve in Knox, on Wednesday, July 10. Hikers should meet Pendleton at the trailhead at 10 a.m.

Directions: From Belfast, take Main Street west and turn right onto Waldo Avenue / Route 137. Continue 10.4 miles (passing the 131 intersection) to the trailhead on the right. Park only in the designated lot, or along the shoulder of the road, and not along the driveway.

 

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation. 

The Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Waldo County Conservation Initiative seeks to establish a fund to conserve and steward land for wildlife, recreation, outdoor learning, and climate.
