She was born in Belfast, the middle child of the three children of Freeman E. Walker and Madeline E. Walker, on August 1, 1924. Ruth was educated at local Belfast schools including Crosby High School. She held many jobs throughout the years, ending her working career with 20 years at Depositors Trust which became Key Bank.

She was open to learning new things and was not intimidated by the advancing world around her. She was a compassionate, kind, and giving person, worried more about the welfare of others than about herself.

She is survived by her son, Roger E. Robbins, and his wife Linda Cammarota of Newbury, New Hampshire; a son-in-law, Stephen M. Boguen of Belfast; a sister, Larita Gray of Fairfield; a brother, Augustus Marshall of Belfast; 5 grandchildren, Kevin R. Kibbe (Doreen) of Enfield, Connecticut, Christopher G. Kibbe (Donna-Jo) of Somers, Connecticut, Roger A. Kibbe (Michelle) of Coventry, Rhode Island, special granddaughter, Amanda E. Munson (Patrick) of Belfast and Michael S. Boguen (Amanda Curtis) of Belmont.

Ruth also had 13 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Rodney; her brother Franklin E. Walker; her sister Lillian M. Green; two daughters, Donna Costa of Somers, Connecticut and Jan E. Boguen of Belfast; and a son-in-law, Roger Costa of Somers, Connecticut.

A graveside service for the family will be held at Grove Cemetery in Belfast. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the WCGH Oncology Patient Assistance Fund 116 Northport Ave Belfast, ME 04915.
