Merryspring talk: Maine’s Terrestrial Invasive Plant Do-Not-Sell List

CAMDEN — Gary Fish will lead an outdoor presentation on Maine’s Terrestrial Invasive Plant Do-Not-Sell List, Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Maine State Horticulturist Gary Fish shines a light on the 63 plants banned from sale or import in the State. He will provide the basis for why these plants don’t fit into Maine’s ecology. He will also provide examples of native alternative plants and what you can do if you already have some of these plants in your landscape.

This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.

Attendance is free for members; $5 for non-members.
