Elect Steve Ellis to the Maine State House District 38

I'm writing in support of electing Steve Ellis to the Maine State House District 38.* Steve believes in privacy and dignity in all personal health decisions, including the right to reproductive care. Though currently Maine has strong laws protecting women's right to reproductive choice, Maine is one of more than a dozen states that are considering ballot measures dealing with abortion in 2025 or 2026.
Governor Mills is in favor of amending the Maine Constitution, saying the state must act to ensure the right to reproductive health care, regardless of which party is in control. “No matter how strong our laws may be, they are subject to ever-changing political tides and can be repealed,” she wrote in testimony to the Judiciary Committee.
Until that happens, it is so very important to elect pro-choice candidates to represent us. Steve Ellis is that candidate.
*District 38 includes the towns of Unity, Thorndike, Monroe, Brooks, western Frankfort, Waldo, Swanville, Knox, Jackson
