A COMMUNITY CIRCLE FOR PEACE and RESISTANCE

Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County Fall Forum, Sept. 17

BELFAST — On Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at 6 p.m., the Peace & Justice Forum/Waldo County, will begin its Fall-Winter offerings with another Circle for Peace and Resistance at the Belfast Free Library.

Bring your offerings of hope, a story, a piece of your art, a poem that feeds you, a song or just your determination in a time of continued wars and the struggle for justice and a sustainable world.

“Let’s share what is helping each of us get through this rugged time, and continue with our resistance to injustice even as we celebrate our good fortune to live here in Maine,” said the Forum, in a news release.

From the producers of Where Olive Trees Weep: “Our interconnectedness compels us to bear witness, to speak out, to act in the face of injustice....And in the midst of this struggle, let us remember to keep finding beauty in the midst of grief...”

All are welcome.

The Abbott Room, Belfast Free Library.
