David Dostie decided to take a walk on the other side on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Known for his great work ethic, and humble, yet wise and witty personality, Dave will be missed dearly by those who knew him. Ever present in local schools as a custodian, he was adored by students and teachers alike. He spent many years pouring concrete, usually outworking most everyone on the crew.

Dave was a lover of gardening, animals, antiques, a cup of coffee, and annual trips to Bar Harbor with his wife, Penny. Dave loved his peace and quiet, but would make sure everyone close to him was taken care of.

David, one of seven children, is survived by brothers Raymond and Arthur Dostie, and a sister, Carol Ouellette.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years. Penny Dostie; a son, Rob Dostie and his wife Michele; grandchildren, Mara, Owen and Mae Dostie; daughter in law, Hollie Linscott; son in law, Garry Sanborn; grandchildren Megan and Danielle Linscott, Derek Hall; and three great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Warren Odd Fellows Hall on Monday, September 9, at 6 p.m.
