RSU 71 elementary schools are preparing for Kindergarten screening for the 2023/2024 school year. If you have a child who will be 5-years old on or before October 15, 2023, now is the time to contact the appropriate school to request information. If you have a child who will be 4-years old on or before October 15, 2023, now is the time to contact Waldo Community Action Partners (WaldoCAP) to apply for Pre-K. 

Kindergarten

All student registration for the 2023-24 school year will be done online.    

Capt. Stevens Elementary School and East Belfast School will screen students on May 11 and May 12. 

Gladys Weymouth School will screen students on May 17 and 18.  

Once your child’s online registration has been processed, you will be contacted to set up a screening appointment for your child.

Pre-Kindergarten

Applications can be accessed online at WaldoCAP.  Click the Early Childhood logo, then click Pre-K and scroll down and click on “Apply”. Applications will be scheduled starting in March for the 2023-2024 school year.
