WALDOBORO — The Medomak Middle and Great Salt Bay middle school girls soccer teams met on the pitch for an exhibition contest on Monday, Sept. 24 with the two fighting to a 3-3 tie. 

Medomak opened the contest by scoring three consecutive goals, which Great Salt Bay followed up three of its own goals. 

For Medomak, Alyssa Grindle scored off a pass from Quinn Overlock about 15 minutes into the first half of the game.

In the second half, Eliza Luce scored Medomak’s second goal on a penalty kick roughly seven minutes into the half.

Olivia Pelkey scored roughly a minute later to make the game 3-0.

At this point, Great Salt Bay fired off three of their own goals. Names of those scoring for Great Salt Bay were not available.

Great defense was played by Maddison Boynton, Mandi Karl and Devan Rainey, according to Medomak head coach Andrea Williamson.
