Opening Celebration Aug. 31

Photographer Thomas Petzwinkler exhibits “Chasing the Moment” in Friendship

FRIENDSHIP — Photographer Thomas Petzwinkler fills the Salt Pond Studio Gallery with 24 photographic works illustrating specific moments of crystalline awareness experienced during his travels throughout Maine.

Join this unique artist at an Opening Celebration for his show “Chasing the Moment” on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, from 4 -7 p.m.

Petzwinkler is an art educator, sculptor, and landscape, travel, and documentary photographer/filmmaker living on Maple Juice Cove in Cushing. Petzwinkler spent the last 25 years teaching, traveling, and exhibiting worldwide. Today, his background in art history, sculpture, filmmaking, and documentary photography informs the majesty and dynamism of his Maine-based photographs while portraying a silence, stillness, and solitude that belies their subject matter. Petzwinkler’s obsession with craft, his pursuit of technical perfection, and his dedication to artistic intention in the photographic process combine to reinforce the expression of the photographer’s inner voice and signature style.

Salt Pond Studio, owned by artist Pam Cabañas, is located at 522 Cushing Road (at the corner of Route 97 and Salt Pond Road) in Friendship, Maine.
