Explore the interdisciplinary field of Ecopsychology with Amory Lee at Camden library

CAMDEN — What happens neurobiologically when we spend time in nature? What happens to our nervous system, perception, and creativity? Our sense of awe, wonder, and openness? And how does that impact mental health and our response to environmental challenges?

The Camden Public Library welcomes Amory Lee for a dive to the exciting and interdisciplinary field of ecopsychology and its connections to outdoor education on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m., in the Picker Room at the Camden Public Library.

Lee will guide the audience through sensory exercises and contemplative questions that touch on education, healthcare, and food systems. Learn about the applications of ecopsychology from the personal to the community and come away feeling inspired!

Amory Lee is a graduate student working on her Master of Arts in Ecopsychology and she is on a mission to spread the word about it. Lee started www.ecopsychology101.org to bring the principles, practices, and philosophy of ecopsychology to the general public in an accessible way. She can be reached at her website.
