Wednesday Waldo Walk goes to Main Stream Preserve in Stockton Springs

STOCKTON SPRINGS — Coastal Mountains Land Trust presents: Wednesday Waldo Walks. On the second Wednesday of each month, Waldo County Conservation Initiative committee member Bindy Pendleton will lead a hike through a different Waldo County Preserve. 

The next hike will explore the wetlands and woods of Main Stream Preserve in Stockton Springs on Wednesday, August 14, at 10 a.m.

Directions: From Stockton Springs, take Route 1 north, then turn onto Harris Road by Just Barb’s Restaurant. Turn left onto Green Valley Road, then right onto Old County Road, then left onto Sherer Road. Parking at the end of Sherer Road on the left.

 

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.  

The Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Waldo County Conservation Initiative seeks to establish a fund to conserve and steward land for wildlife, recreation, outdoor learning, and climate.
