Strand On The Air presents “Free Parking Edition” Aug. 25

ROCKLAND — The Strand Theatre presents a new edition of its radio variety show series Strand On The Air with the “Free Parking Edition” on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 5 p.m. The show can be heard by tuning in to WRFR at 93.3 in Rockland or by streaming at WRFR.org. Following their broadcasts, the radio shows are made available as podcasts.

“Never mind the permits or the loose change, park yourself by the radio for the Strand On The Air ‘Free Parking Edition!’” said the Strand Theatre, in a news release.

Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players will pull up to the curb with a carload of laughs as the intrepid reporters of “All Things Rescinded” explore the bold new innovation of perpendicular parking, and consider how even the most youthful entrepreneur can turn the parking situation to their advantage with a little hard work. And down in Abysmal Point, long-boiling community tensions threaten to froth over the top when Greta Crummet begins a one-woman crusade to transform the local Select Board.

“Add in music by Brittany Parker and special guests from Midcoast Music Academy and you’ll forget all about feeding the meter!” said the Strand.

Strand On The Air is a presentation of the Strand Theatre in Rockland, and following the broadcast will be available for listening as a podcast.
