They have started the season 0-3 despite the caliber of players on the team. But this past weekend, they found their rhythm as they blanked the visitors 8-0.

The team plays a 14-game schedule in the season before high school hockey gets underway.

Sunday, Sept. 20, was their first home game of the season. They will play at home for two more weeks in a row before hitting the road again.

The Storm came out skating fast and hitting hard finding the back of the net for the first time was Perrin Bonner-Ganter at 12:22 in the first half. Cam Christie assisted him.

The next goal came less than a minute later from Nicholas Czuchra at 11:25 unassisted. Chase Matteo, Caleb Stern, and Nathan Hersom all scored in the first half as well. Matthew Prescott had an assist.

In the second half, Brandon Cook had a pair of goals and Czuchra added his second of the game. Nicholas Tassoni, Christie, and Matteo had one assist each.

In the first half, Joyce was peppered with shot after shot, and while he gave up five goals, he stopped 10 or more in just the first half.

The MCSA Storm had five penalties for 18 minutes in the box. They had one misconduct. The Huskies had 34 minutes in the penalty box including two misconducts.

The Storm will return next Sunday to MRC for two home games, the first at 9:10 .m. and the second at 2:10 p.m.
