WEST GARDINER — Jessica Clark Convery, 39, died unexpectedly but peacefully at home of a medical event on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Born in Rockport, January 17, 1985, she was the daughter of James and Pamela (Nystrom) Clark. Educated in Rockland, she was a 2003 graduate of Rockland District High School. From an early age, she was very active in
sports (including Pee-Wee football, soccer and basketball). Jessica traveled to England with Camden-Rockport’s soccer team as their goalie. She participated in multiple extra-curricular activities and embodied school spirit.

While in high school, Jessica began her work career at Hannaford Supermarket in Rockland. Throughout her twenty plus years with Hannaford she held a multitude of positions in various locations. She had a passion for people and the business. At the time of her passing, she held the role of a Manager of Retail Projects. Jessica loved her job and all of the amazing connections that she made over the years. She truly embodied the Hannaford values and was the type of leader that always put others first. Her caring, energetic and positive approach to her job and how she lived her life were very evident to everyone that knew her.

Hannaford played another important role in Jessica’s life. Through her work at Hannaford, she met her very best friend and love of her life, Benjamin Convery. They married on November 30, 2019 in a beautiful snowy ceremony at Sunday River, surrounded by family and friends.

Jessica formed deep, lifelong friendships beginning in childhood. She was the type of person that brought people together and helped create new friendships. Jessica also developed close relationships with many people from Hannaford. Jessica loved spending time with Ben, family, friends and her two cats Khloe and Frederick. She loved to travel whether it was a tropical vacation, sporting event, or just an adventure. Jessica loved to be on the go and live life to the fullest. She could always be counted on to be the trip organizer for the group and had everything planned meticulously.

Her love of music, inherited from both her father and mother, led her to attend many concerts, including one just two days before her passing. She loved many kinds of music and it played an important role in her life. Jessica and her mother shared a love of going to live music events. A fond memory was taking her family to see Rolling Stones at Fenway for her father’s 50th birthday. She attended as many concerts as she could and had a strong connection with music. Simple things such as play-dates with her nephew Ferris and taking her mother on drives, brought joy into her life.

Over the past few years Jessica had started running in 5K marathons and just recently participated in a Muddy Princess event. She and Ben enjoyed many adventures together and it didn’t matter where they were going or what they were doing as long as they were together. She loved the coast and the ocean, especially the breakwater, which held a special place in her heart.

Jessica was well known for her style and never missed out on the opportunity for a shopping trip with her friends. She was known for her outgoing personality, kindness, generosity, and genuine care for everyone she knew. She was an extraordinary gift-giver, she always made birthdays and holidays special. There aren’t adequate words to describe her and how deeply she will be missed.

Predeceased by her beloved father, James (she was his little jelly-bean); her maternal grandparents, Barbara and William Nystrom and paternal grandparents, Aubrey and Margaret Tilley; her uncles Jeff Tilley and Donald Nystrom; as well as a cousin, Rachel Michelle Long; Jessica is survived by her husband, Ben of West Gardiner; her mother, Pamela Clark of Rockland; her brother, Michael Clark and his wife Rebecca and their son Ferris of Rockland; her parents-in-law, Ray and Donna Convery of Winthrop; her sister-in-law, Stepahanie Orr and her husband Robert and their daughter Reagan of Sayre, Pennsylvania; her brother-in-law, Jason Convery and his wife Angie and their children, Jamie and Brenna of Salem, Virginia; her uncle, Mark Nystrom and his wife Nancy and their children Bradley and Paige of Owls Head; aunts Ronda Long and her husband Michael of South Thomaston, Jayne Tilley and her husband Ray of Appleton; as well as a countless number of loving friends.
