ROCKLAND — Triangle Gallery will be opening two June exhibitions: Oliver Solmitz with ‘Lines on Edge’ on Friday, June 21, from 4 - 7 p.m.; and Karen Jelenfy with ‘Faith & Vertigo’ on Friday, June 28, from 4 - 6 p.m. There will be an Artist’s Talk on Saturday, July 20, at 3 p.m.

Oliver Solmitz draws upon his education in architecture as he abstracts those principles and searches for “the point of balance at which the work has been reduced to its bare essentials but retains the formal and intellectual relationships I see as its soul”. His work will be on view until July 21.

Karen Jelenfy’s bold and luscious paintings come out of her relationship with the environment, whether it be countryside or cityscape. Within this sense of ‘place’, Jelenfy uses the colors and textures of her experience to meld together stories of “memories, social concerns, and local observation”. Her work will be on view until July 28.

Triangle Gallery is located at 8 Elm Street in Rockland, Maine. Summer hours are noon - 5pm Tuesday through Saturday, 1 - 4pm on Sunday, by chance, or by appointment. For more information, call 593-8300 or go to trianglegallery8elm.com or instagram @trianglegallery8elm.
