Watts Hall Players to perform ‘Spamalot’

Event has passed

THOMASTON — The Watts Hall Community Players announce this year’s summer musical Spamalot to be presented the last weekend of June and the first weekend of July.

The musical is loosely based on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and tells a comedic tale of King Arthur and his knights. Familiar characters from the tales of King Arthur and his knights mix up shenanigans with some of the Monty Python regulars, such as Not Dead Fred and the Knights who say “Ni”.

The light- hearted performance will bring joy to family audiences, according to the Players, in a news release. The Players welcome seasoned and new actors of all ages as part of their mission to truly be a community theater group. Rehearsals have been underway since late April.

Performances begin on Thursday, June  27, and Friday, June 28, at 7 p.m. On Sunday, June 30, there will be a 3 p.m. matinee. The following Friday and Saturday nights, July 5 and 6, the show will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available on the website or at the door.
