WALDOBORO — The first of three Waldoboro Community Yard Sale weekends is coming up on Memorial Day weekend, May 25 and 26, with standard hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

This community-wide event is free for residents and businesses who wish to sign up. Applications can be found at the Waldoboro Town Office and online at tinyurl.com/2024WCYS.

Those having yard sales can list which categories of items they are selling, and that will be available on both the digital map and the printed maps. Businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the extra traffic these sales bring to town and offer some kind of special for customers – it could be anything from door prizes, coupons, or sales.

The Waldoborough Historical Society is once again renting space out front for a donation to the capital campaign. Contact Bill Maxwell at 790-1307 to make arrangements. Pooley Realty Group is also offering space. To enquire about that, contact Jessica Pooley at jessicapooleyrealtor@gmail.com. Both locations will have maps available on the day of the sale.

Applications need to be submitted by May 14 to be on the printed map but can be added to the digital map through May 24. Participants can pick up a free yard sale sign at the Town Office if they are registered. Call Rebecca Waddell at 832-6650 with any questions.
