Two arrested in Knox drug seizure

    KNOX — Two residents of Knox have been arrested following the execution of a drug-search warrant, served by the Maine State Police Central Field Troop, according to a press release from Maine State Police media relations. 

    The warrant was executed Friday, June 14, at the residence of Caleb Woodward, 31, and Ryan Kenney, 24, also of Knox, and resulted in multiple charges for both. 

    Attention was first brought to the residence following Woodward’s arrest at the conclusion of a traffic stop early the same morning, according to the release. During the stop, drugs were seized, giving law enforcement probable cause to search her residence, according to the media report. 

    Found during the search of the home were 30 grams of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and 10 different unprescribed pills. Those pills included suboxone, oxycodone, and Xanax. Two firearms were also seized. 

    There were three minor children residing at the home and the Department of Health and Human Services were notified of the investigation. 

    Woodward and Kenney have both been transported to jail. 

    Charges against Woodward include: aggravated trafficking of schedule W drug fentanyl;, furnishing a schedule W drug, methamphetamine; three counts of unlawful possession of schedule W drugs, cocaine base, suboxone, oxycodone; unlawful possession of schedule Z drugs, endangering the welfare of a child; and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. 

    Kenney faces charges including: aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs, fentanyl; possession of a firearm by a prohibited person; and endangering the welfare of a child.
