Steve Ellis is best person to represent District 38
I’ll be among the excited voters in almost new Maine’s Waldo County House District 38 (Brooks, Knox, Jackson, Monroe, Swanville, Thorndike, Unity, Waldo, and western Frankfort) proudly casting my 2024 Presidential Ballot for Harris and Walz on November 5, and all down ballot candidates of my choice, especially in my District 38 House of Representatives, enthusiastically for Steve Ellis of Waldo. Here’s why, you might ask.
I first met Steve Ellis only a month or so ago, but in that short time since he threw his imaginary hat (he’s not a hat person) into the ring of the county’s largest geographic district, I have seen Steve campaign with gusto and quiet confidence to meet voters and learn what his constituents need and want from state government and in their state representative.
How do I know this, you might also ask. I’m so impressed with Steve, who stepped in to replace the March primary winner Eileen Ellis (no relation) who had to suspend her campaign for personal reasons, that I volunteered to drive him to his district’s voters’ doors and witnessed many of his gentle giant encounters with voters (I think he’s near or more 6 feet tall, while I’m vertically challenged), most impressively demonstrated by Steve’s quiet listening skills.
The proof’s in the pudding my mother used to say, Steve’s pudding was my seeing him greet reluctant or uninterested folks his visit interrupted from chores of all sorts, who soon became animated in their shared interest with Steve in all matters of environment, climate change, education, civil liberties, and kitchen table issues of roads, power outages, and school budgets.
We, as Steve likes to say, despite our differences in issues important to us, are all the same, we want a person like Steve to listen to us and represent us in the Maine House faithfully in all our best interests. I’m convinced Steve Ellis is the best person to make the proven pudding!
