ROCKPORT — The Nevaeh Dance Circus is bringing an afternoon Hula Hooping workshop and evening performance to the Rockport Opera House on Friday, August 2.

Nevaeh Dance Circus is a creative group of performing artists based in Maine and known for their original and imaginative shows combining a blend of dance, circus, song, theatre and handmade life-size puppets. 

​”What is so unique and special about the Nevaeh Dance Circus is it’s inclusive nature and spectrum of performers from local amateur youth looking for a creative outlet professional artist who have been featured on stages such as America’s Got Talent,” said Nettie Gentempo, in a news release. Founded and operated by sisters Nettie and Hannah Gentempo, this colorful company is dedicated to bringing joy, entertainment and creative community together.

Hula Hoop artist Nettie Loops will lead an afternoon Hoop Dance Workshop, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., followed by a full Nevaeh Dance Circus production featuring a combination of contemporary dance, circus arts, storytelling and interactive fun starting at 6:30 p.m.

Loops is a professional hula hoop/circus artist, movement instructor, dancer/choreographer and homeschooling mother.
