ROCKPORT — The Mid-Coast Wrestling Club held its annual Maine Youth Opener Saturday, Jan. 20 at Camden Hills Regional High School with over 400 pre-kindergarten through eighth grade-aged wrestlers competing on nine mats. 

The day was filled with about 1,200 matches and kicked off the youth wrestling season, which typically lasts through the end of March. 

Participating in the event were roughly 25 teams from Maine, including Troy Howard, Mount View, Camden-Rockport, Oceanside and Medomak, and a handful from New Hampshire. 

Attached are results from the pre-kindergarten through fourth grade and fifth through eighth grade competitions.
