It was overcast for the Memorial Day Parade this year, but the rain held off, and the townspeople came out. Sheriff Trundy’s cruiser was followed by the honor guard and members of American Legion Post 30. The Camden Regional High School band marched, and the Lincolnville Town Band were there, as were out fire trucks and the usual assortment of antique vehicles we all look for at a small town parade.

At Veterans Park was the prayer, the speech, and the laying of the wreath. Memorial Day. A time for grief and celebration.
