“Medicare 101” talk to be held in Rockland, July 18

ROCKLAND — Spectrum Generations, the Central Maine Area Agency on Aging, and the Rockland Public Library present “Medicare 101” in the Library’s Community Room on Tuesday, July 18, at 6 p.m.

The workshop is taught by a State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) certified instructor, Jeanne McIntyre, who offers unbiased information about Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Prescription Drug Plans and Supplemental Health Plans. She will also explain how to save money by reviewing information and eligibility guidelines for Medicare Savings Plans such as QMB and SLMB; and how to avoid penalties with timely enrollment. 

Recommended for those turning 65, or anyone wanting a better understanding of Medicare.
