UNION — Union Historical Society presents a first-person account by Matt Blazek on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m., of the voyage he and five others took in an 18-foot replica of the Jane Stevens. They travelled from Georgetown to Fort William Henry in Pemaquid, rowing across the mouth of the Sagadahoc and out of Boothbay Harbor, with stops at different islands along the way in an adventure partnership with Maine’s First Ship Virginia.
Blazek is an historian and historical interpreter who lives in Union.
The program will be held in Union’s Old Town House at 128 Townhouse Road. There will also be a brief special meeting for a vote to change the annual meeting date from November to October.
