WARREN — Julieanne R. Hyatt, 82, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, July 4, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Rockland, June 20, 1942, she was the daughter of Julian and Virginia Thompson Oliver. Educated locally she attended Rockland District High School. Later in life she earned her diploma from Camden Rockport High School at the same time as some of her children.

Julieanne spent her career in the healthcare field, working first as a C.N.A. and later as a private duty caregiver for children with special needs.

She was always up for an adventure and loved to go shopping with her best friend, Rachel, to auctions or out to dinner. Traveling to Florida and St. Thomas, Virgin Island were some of her favorite times. When at home, she loved to plan gardens for her fiancé, Lee, to plant, and then watch them flourish, under his care, of course. Julie’s children said the last fifteen years of her life have been some of the happiest as she has spent them with the love of her life, Lee Marshall. Together they have made many happy memories, and he has been by her side through thick and thin.

Family was Julie’s number one priority. Getting together for holidays, celebrations and gatherings always brought her such joy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Paul Hyatt; a grandson, Matthew Rankin; and her best friend, Rachel Young, her fiancé’s son, David Marshall, who helped her in her gardens; Julieanne is survived by her fiancé, Lee Marshall of Warren; her children, Kathy Mills of Liberty, Ruthie Dodd of Belmont, Karen Heal and her husband Bill of Warren; a step-daughter, Megan Lavoie of Cushing; her siblings, Floyd Oliver and his wife Patti of Owls Head, Shelly Caraway of Louisiana; Richard Oliver and his wife Debbie of Jefferson; her two special friends whom she referred to as ‘the boys’, Brian and Joe; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece and nephews and a large, loving extended family.

Julie’s family would also like to thank her hospice team, especially Meg and Sean for their excellent care.

A celebration of Julieanne’s life will be announced in August.
