ROCKLAND — Florence Jessie Stone, 96, passed away May 10, 2015, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born June 15, 1918, in Winterville, she was the daughter of Ernest and Hazel Murphy Bartlett. She grew up in Portage, living there until she was 14. She then moved to Bangor, where she was a 1936 graduate of Bangor High School. She later attended the Maine School of Commerce.

Predeceased by her first husband, Clair Millett; and her second husband, Nelson Stone; Florence is survived by her sons, Charles Millett and his wife, Jill, of Cushing, and Robert Millett and his wife, Theresa, of Plympton, Mass.; a daughter, Marilyn Parsons and her husband, Stewart, of Northport; three grandchildren, Gregory Black, Rebecca Black and Ainslee Riley; as well as seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A private graveside service will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
