Bird Banding talk at Merryspring, July 30

CAMDEN — Don Reimer will lead an outdoor presentation on Bird Banding, Tuesday, July 30, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Bird banding data are useful in both scientific research and management and conservation projects. Individual identification of birds makes possible studies of dispersal and migration, behavior and social structure, life-span and survival rate, reproductive success, and population growth. Join birder Don Reimer for a photographic look at banded birds, with prime examples of what can be learned through the banding process.

This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.

Attendance is free for members; $5 for non-members.
