Camden Rotary Club Announces Super Raffle Results

The Camden Rotary Club has completed its annual cash Super Raffle by drawing the three winning tickets.

The top prize of $1,500 went to a Camden resident, with $1,000 going to a visitor from Falls Church, Virginia, and $500 to another entrant from Camden.

The raffle raised $17,000 to help finance grants for local nonprofit organizations in 2023.

“I’ve always thought that, in addition to our three prizes, the big winners of our Super Raffle are the nonprofit organizations we support,” said club raffle committee chair Jane Mackay. “We feel like winners too because the raffle does so much to make our grants possible.”

Added assistant committee chair Chip Holmes: “We could not have raised these funds without the support of our friends, neighbors, and summer visitors. Special thanks go to French & Brawn Marketplace for letting us sell tickets in front of the store and to Camden National Bank for underwriting our printing costs again this year. We’re also grateful to the town of Camden and Harbormaster Steve Pixley for permission to hold the drawing and announce the winners on the Public Landing during the Windjammer Festival.”

Camden Rotary Club has served the community since 1925, raising funds to help local nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville through an annual grants program. This year’s grant recipients included the Knox Clinic, Midcoast Recreation Center, Knox County Gleaners, the Penobscot Bay YMCA’s childcare program, MCH Meals on Wheels, and Marine Mammals of Maine.                                                                                  +
