Stars of America and Italy’s Got Talent at The Waldo in August

    WALDOBORO — The Waldo has two shows this month featuring former contestants from America’s Got Talent and Italia’s Got Talent.

    “On August 9, at 8 p.m. laugh and be amazed with comic psychic Peter Antoniou,” said The Waldo, in a news release. “From amazing the judges on America’s Got Talent, to headlining in Las Vegas, to selling out shows in London's West End, Peter Antoniou’s mind reading skills have astounded audiences around the globe. Combining razor-sharp British wit with a stunning ability to know exactly what you are thinking, Peter’s shows are interactive and unforgettable.”

    Online tickets are available for $30 in advance, $35 the day of the event. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.

     

    On August 31, Italia’s Got Talent Star Ekaterina Shelehova will be performing at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

    Shelehova received singing lessons from early childhood and later studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she took master classes with Jean MacPhail, Alexandra Pasko and David Varjabed. From 2014 she studied at the Conservatorio di Milano, where she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in opera performance. In 2020 she studied improvisation, extended vocal techniques and folk music in Mexico.

    Shelehova has sung in Canadian and Italian opera houses, including several roles at the Teatro Antonio Belloni in Barlassina and the role of Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro Alessandrino in Alessandria in 2023. She rose to prominence through her performance on Italia's Got Talent 2021 with her performance video viewed over 100 million times. She is also a member of the French new-age group Era and has released several recordings on streaming platforms. In collaboration with the iSing Opera Academy, she performed on a multi-city tour in China in 2019.

    Tickets for Ekaterina Shelehova are $25 in advance, $30 at the door with concessions, including beer and wine available for purchase at both events.
