Kathleen I. Pendleton left us to join her loved ones in Heaven on October 4, 2022. She was one of eight children, born to the late Avis and Charles Murphy. 

Kathleen and her husband, Leonard, resided on Islesboro for almost 20 years where she was a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered her time and energy to fundraising, chaperoning, and supporting the Islesboro community and school. She cooked for several eateries on the island as well as on the mainland and loved to see her customers enjoying her cooking. 

Kathy was big on family traditions and so she always celebrated birthdays and holidays with dinner gatherings. Although cooking was her specialty, Kathy also enjoyed crocheting, reading, history and various styles of music. 

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, and her brother David Murphy. 

Surviving are her beloved husband of 54 years, Leonard Pendleton Sr.; her children, Carol Pendleton with Edward Button Jr., Lynette Pendleton and Leonard Pendleton Jr.; her dear grandsons who were the center of her universe, Cooper Shattuck, Dylan Pendleton and Caleb Pendleton; her siblings, Pamela Riply, Dianne Page and husband Danny, Cheryl Maddox and husband Larry, Charlene Rytky and husband Larry, Elizabeth Murphy and husband Scott Elkins, and Kenneth Murphy and wife Rita; and many niece, nephews and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on October 12, 2022, at 1 p.m., at the Redman Hall, 153 Main St., Belfast ME 04915. Please join Kathy's family and share a memory or two.
