VINALHAVEN — Ivan Roy Wadleigh, precious angel of Chase Wadleigh and Tatiana McKenna, earned his angel wings, Wednesday July 10, 2024.

Born in Augusta, April 3, 2023, Ivan’s short life brought much love and laughter to all who had the opportunity to love him.

He was an active and curious boy who loved babbling words, pointing back at people, picking flowers, going for hikes on his daddy’s back in the back-pack and showing off his standing skills by letting go of things with one hand.

A child of many nick-names, his father often called him ‘Chivan’ or ‘Ivan Putski’. His mother spent many hours playing with him, especially with his favorite ‘crazy noodles’ sensory toy. Being with his big brother was another favorite pastime, even when they were arguing over toys like little boys do.

Ivan will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Chase W. Wadleigh and Tatiana M. McKenna and his big brother, Leory Wadleigh, all of Vinalhaven; his paternal grandparents, Jessica Day, Stacy Wadleigh both of Vinalhaven; his maternal grandparents, Crystal McKenna of Farmingdale, Roy Glidden of Farmingdale; his paternal great-grandmothers, J. Cheryl Day, Hazel Smith both of Vinalhaven; his maternal great-grandmother Kimberly McKenna of Whitefield; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Browns Head Cemetery, Vinalhaven.
