Ann Matlack will improve present and future of all of her constituents

It is not often that we have the opportunity to vote for someone who is as qualified for the office she seeks as Ann Matlack is.  Ann is running to represent Maine House District 92 (Cushing, Thomaston, South Thomaston, St. George, Matinicus Isle Plantation and the unorganized territories of Criehaven and Muscle Ridge Island Township) and I would encourage you to consider her experience.

She served for two full terms on the then MSAD 50 school board. She logged ten years on both the St. George and Knox County budget committee.  For seven years she was the assistant to the Rockland City Manager. She is currently serving as the board chair of Penquis, a non-profit community action agency.

This is a resume of someone who has made a long-term and consistent commitment to bettering the communities in which she lives and works. It is also a resume that has given her real-world experience in addressing the significant issues before the legislature…fully-funding our schools, restoring revenue sharing with local governments, dealing with our opioid crisis, maintaining our social safety net.

I have known Ann for over 15 years and have worked with her on town committees. We have not always been on the same side of the issues, but I can attest that her positions and opinions were always thoughtful and well-reasoned.  I have no doubt that she will bring to her work as our representative a rigorous decision-making process based on facts and aimed at improving the present and future of all of her constituents.
