Aho, Wilcox elected to RSU 40 board

    RSU 40 voters in three towns took to the polls on June 11 to elect School Board Directors.

    In Union, Rachel Wilcox was elected.

    Votes received were: 

    367 Rachel Wilcox

    358 Timothy Wood

     

    In Waldoboro, Benjamin Stickney and Leah Shipps were elected.  

    Votes received were: 

    Steven Karp 510

    Tabatha MacArthur 429

    Benjamin Stickney 737

    Leah Shipps 577 (declared write-in candidate)

     

    In Warren, Naomi Aho was re-elected. 

    Votes received were:

    381 Naomi Aho (incumbent)

    326 Torry Verrill

    36 Blank

    At the next RSU40 school board meeting, the members will be assigned to new committees for the 2024-2025 academic year.  

     

    Voters in each of RSU40’s five towns also voted to adopt a $39 .7 million budget for the 2024-2025 academic year.
