Thomaston Place Announces 'Simple Pleasures' Online Auction

Event has passed

THOMASTON, ME: Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ division, Thomaston Light, will conduct an online auction of folk art, furniture, fine art and more, Wednesday, May 3, at 10 a.m.

This auction includes large selections of one-of-a-kind custom American furniture, diverse folk art, historical ephemera, china sets, art glass, interior décor, and a multitude of unique collectibles.

There will also be a wide range of fine art, including artists from Maine and New England. Noteworthy artists include Sears Gallagher, Maurice ‘Jake’ Day, Nathaniel Currier, Arthur Russel Fuller, Chester Harding, John Neill, as well as many others.

For all locals who are seeking timeless furniture, lighting and fine art that sparks simplicity and joy with color, we have a special array of country furniture fit for that aesthetic.

Wouldn't you rather have a pine cupboard or a dining table that lasts forever? In today's economy, you can save hundreds by going vintage, rather than wasting thousands of dollars on factory-made, college-dorm grade furniture.

We all know the answer to that, and what better way to add interest to your home, office or storefront with items that truly bring history, conversation and Maine pride than vintage furniture.

Items can be viewed online now; participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids any time prior to 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 3. Registrants can bid on items as they come up for sale.

To view the catalog, register and bid, visit www.live.thomastonauction.com, or visit LiveAuctioneers.com or Invaluable.com to view lots, register, and bid on those sites. All participants must register before bidding. Buyer’s premium is 25% for online bidding, 20% for phone and absentee.
Winning bidders will receive an invoice by email within 24 hours of the auction’s completion. Items may be picked up at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries, 51 Atlantic Highway, Thomaston, ME, or shipping can be arranged.

Thomaston Place Auction Galleries is open for previews by appointment only. Call 354-8141 to schedule an appointment, or for more information.
