THORNDIKE — After guiding the Mount View Mustangs varsity football program for the last four seasons, Haggie Pratt as stepped down to accept an assistant coaching position with John Bapst, according to a posting on the program’s booster club Facebook.
Pratt, who previously guided the football programs at Dexter and Nokomis, wrapped up his time in Thorndike with a 16-17 record. The team went 3-5 in 2013, 2-6 in 2014 before sporting a 6-2 record and making a regional semifinal appearance in 2015. Last season, the team finished at 5-4 and did not qualify for the playoffs.
In the interim, Justin Barnes is serving as the program’s interim head coach while the school conducts a search for a permanent head coach. The position is currently being advertised.
