CAMDEN, ME, July 17th, 2024 – Erick Anderson, General Manager of The Bay View Collection’s boutique hotel Lord Camden Inn, recently presented a check of $3,455 to Travis Mills of the Travis Mills Foundation. 

The donation is in support of the foundation’s mission of working with post-911 recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs, helping them overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthening their families, and providing well-deserved rest and relaxation.

The donation was a result of Lord Camden Inn’s Great Rates for a Great Cause campaign, which ran this past winter and spring. Guests who chose to participate received a 50% discount off their two or more-night stay, and in exchange for this great discount, pledged to donate at least $50/night to the Travis Mills Foundation.

"The Lord Camden Inn is a wonderful Maine business that has been kind enough to support the post-9/11 veterans served at the Travis Mills Foundation," said U.S. Army SSG (Ret.) Travis Mills. "It was even greater to meet Erick and Gretel from the Lord Camden Inn when they visited the retreat for our open house, where they toured our incredible campus and saw first-hand how veterans and their families are served."

"A few years ago, I along with others in our leadership team had the pleasure of attending a conference where Travis Mills was the opening guest speaker. It was inspiring, ice-breaking, comical, and eye-opening both personally and professionally," Erick Anderson shared. "To be able to have contributed towards their greater good through our Great Rates Promotion feels so wonderful, and I will cherish the connections that were made with our guests as we shared the Foundation's mission."

The Travis Mills Foundation is just one of several local charitable organizations that The Bay View Collection partnered with and supported this year. Grand Harbor Inn offered a similar discount to guests in support of Peace Ridge Sanctuary, 16 Bay View Hotel partnered with Aldermere Farm, and Rockport Harbor Hotel partnered with the Island Institute.
