Public invited to final design meeting

ROCKPORT — The methodical and deliberative planning process for the future of the former Rockport Elementary School site on West Street in Rockport is ready for a final review.
On Sept. 17, there will be a final public design meeting for the RES Community Park. There, the final master plan for the park will be unveiled. This plan incorporates community feedback received over the last year of public engagement.
The meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. in the Rockport Opera House’s Parker Room.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the park's website (previous meetings can be seen there, too). In addition to Eamonn Hutton, the park’s landscape architect, Kathy Blaha, LFF's public-private consultant, will be at the meeting to update everyone on the conservancy (the eventual managing body for the new park).
